Road Map to Reading is a program for parents with children ages 0 through 6 that demonstrates the importance of early reading and writing, teaches early literacy skills to parents, and encourages parents to read to their children.
The Road Map to Reading Center at the library provides:
- learning sessions for parents with reading and play time for their children ages 0-6,
- time on the Early Literacy Station computers for children ages 2-8,
- your own library book bag, and a free children’s book to take home.
Road Map to Reading sessions in the library are Mondays 5:30-6:30 p.m. Call for other session times.
The Road Map to Reading program is made possible by the support of Youth and Family Services, Inc. and Smart Start Canadian County with a grant from Smart Start Oklahoma and the Inasmuch Foundation.
